PROCESS OF FORGING GEAR BLANKS

All Metals & Forge Group uses a seamless rolled ring process that offers forged gear blank manufacturers shape, size and material flexibility, lower volume requirements, and near net shapes to save on final machining costs.  Higher quality and increased strength and wear in forged gear blanks is achieved from contoured grain flow, reduced grain size and thermal processing that improves mechanical properties and metallurgical soundness from the open die forging process. All of our forgings are rough machined to allow for final machining.

Customers from any industry that uses gears can request a quote on any quantity forged gear blanks, from one-at-a-time prototypes and low volumes to large production runs. Our expansions include gear cutting to finished gear dimensions.
